Extending peak performance..

what students learned from Jason Heinrich

  • I learnt that once you have reached the top at one aspect in your life you should branch off and try to reach the top of other areas. There really is no "top" you can always get better and achieve new heights. I also learnt that you should try and live your life as an example to other people. That you should try and act the way that you would want other people around you to act and feel. And lastly I learnt that life requires a healthy balance of different aspects in order to be successful.

There are many different types of challenges that you are forced to overcome , whether  they invole sports,friends,family,school,etc..

Jason was faced with a number of challenges in his life which he had to overcome. I learned that if you have mental toughness, nothing can stop you. The most important thing is learning to comuntcate. Dont be afraid of what other people thing, it doesnt do anyone any good.

I think Jason was the speaker that most inspired me. He came across shy which was why I thougt it was very brave of him to be out here speaking to my class. Just him simply being here talking shows that you can overcome anything. He proved that he could do it which inspired me into thinking that i can do anything i set my mind to. He had some very good points that made a lot of sense. My favourite was when he was talking about sports. He said that you can never give up in your head otherwise you won't make it. It is all in the head and that really stood out to me. I think that the past two classes have been very benefitial. I learned little lessons along the way and now i am more motivated to find a better me.

  •      Start being yourself, let your voice free; don't care what people think of you.
  • You can be a slouch and not care about anything or you can be at your peak performance while listening but offering good ideas.

  •  He still does not see himself as a leader however, by playing his part in the world, he IS a leader. His story about the short coach with a lazy eye, humorous as it was, really spoke out to us on how important 'mental toughness' is and how strong you need to be when you feel like giving up. "Knowledge is Power", Jason stated. This refers to the importance of balance. You need to know who you are and how you fit into this world, to be truly successful.
